FLINDERS PENINSULA PIERS AND PINOTS
Held annually on the Sunday of the Victorian labour day long weekend
Peninsula Piers and Pinots will be held on March 7th 2010 at Flinders foreshore from 12-3pm. Around 20 Mornington Peninsula vignerons will showcase maritime cool climates pinots with tastings by the sea in an intimate gathering. Wined will be matched by local restaurants and live music will add to the event which will be held at the finish line of the piers and pinots yacht race. Peninsula Piers and Pinots at flinders will feature Peninsula Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, Pinot Gris and Pinot Grigio - follow the flags from the pier and taste more than 60 wines with fantastic local produce to match. Entry includes complimentary glass and wine tastings, then purchase win by glass or bottle. MERRICKS LUNCH WITH THE LOCALS

Merricks General Wine Store is hosting a second helping of ‘Lunch withthe Locals’. The ingredients are grown, collected, fermented, reared and caught on the Mornington Peninsula. As summer turns to autumn, founding Chef, Janine Richmond and her brigade are selecting the producers for the lunch. The daily specials at Merricks General Wine Store continue to change as she ‘test drives’ the producers.
Lunch will be accompanied by a selection of wines from local vignerons; Baillieu Vineyard, Elgee Park and Quealy Wines, who have all made Merricks General Store their Cellar Door.
