A unique opportunity to own a thriving multifaceted business with a well established USP and enormous growth potential - just over an hour by freeway from Melbourne Central Business District and only one hour fifteen minutes from Melbourne International Airport.

Trofeo Estate Vineyard -

In the thriving world of Australian wine production, one boutique label committed at its inception to take the bold steps necessary to deliver a higher quality product produced without compromise and without using chemical fertilisers, pesticides or herbicides and where the vinification process would take place in Terracotta Amphorae producing wines offering several unique features.

Trofeo Estate Vineyard produces only clean - healthy wines.

Where chemicals can not leach out of wooden barrels dulling the wines flavours and aromas.

The wines are produced in Terracotta Amphorae which are almost infinitely reusable, reducing the winery’s greenhouse gas emissions and its carbon footprint. Sustainability in all stages from growth, through production to the table or the glass.

Wines that are better for the environment and better for the consumer.

Products harmful to the human body can leach from oak barrels in the presence of alcohol and contribute to adverse reactions to wine, these Furfurals are not present in wines produced in Terracotta Amphora.

Trofeo is the future of premium wine for people who care about what they put in their bodies.

Some History of the property.

Late 1932 Passiflora Plantations bought 400 acres in now Harrisons Road which included the parcel now Trofeo Estate.

The famous red brick building housing the Trofeo Estate cellar door and restaurant was built circa 1934 and used canning passion-fruit pulp.

1948 The property was purchased by a member of the Seppelt family who planted Cabernet Sauvignon and Riesling at the back of what is now part of the Trofeo Estate Cabernet Sauvignon block.

Circa 1955 the property was purchased by Ken Broadhurst (related to the Seabrook family) and was run by Doug Seabrook, (famous wine merchant family in Australia) who made wine there until 1967.

In the 1980’s the land was purchased by Bob Pieme, who created 5 Sons Estate and planted some 50 acres of vines including Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Gris

2011 the property was purchased by the current owner and became Trofeo Estate.
